Make the most of the wall space in your kitchen with this beautiful and functional slatted organiser.
You will need:
Step 1 Paint the wooden slats in colours of your choosing. We went for a beach-inspired palette, using three key colours, Resene Cleopatra (yellow), Resene Secrets (seafoam green) and Resene Wishing Well (blue), and three sandy neutrals, Resene Dapper, Resene Despacito and Resene Crowdpleaser.
Step 2 Attach the 3M hooks to your wall 2m high and 700mm apart.
Step 3 Cut the polyester rope in half to create two 2.5m lengths. Fold one piece in half to create a double up and knot the ends together. Repeat with the second length of rope.
Step 4 Starting at the opposite end (the looped side) of each piece of rope, make 12 knots spaced 70mm apart.
Step 5 Hang a knotted rope on each of the 3M hooks.
Step 6 Starting from the bottom, slide the ends of the slats in between the knots. To complete the look, we used ‘S’ hooks to hang potted herbs, tea towels and other kitchen utensils.
