We’ve got more fun and creative Easter DIYs for you and the family to try! Get the kids involved to pick out their favourite Resene testpot colours at your local Resene ColorShop and try out these fun projects for yourself!
How to make your own Easter 'tree'ts
Looking for a botanical décor piece this Easter? Grab yourself a tree branch and some hanging Easter eggs to paint in your favourite testpot colours. Pop your branch in a vase with some faux florals and voila, an instant easter botanical display great for the centre of the dining table or entryway.
You will need:
Wooden branches from a tree
Some hanging plastic eggs
Some papier mache eggs
Faux floral (optional)
Paintbrush
Glass vase
Resene testpots in your chosen colours. We used Resene Amulet, Resene Norway, Resene Spring Rain, Resene Soft Apple, Resene Highland and Resene Woodland
Step 1: Paint your branches in one of your chosen Resene colours. We used Resene Amulet.
Step 2: Paint your hanging eggs in more of your chosen colours – you can go for a nature inspired palette or go as colourful as you like! We usedResene Amulet, Resene Norway, Resene Spring Rain, Resene Soft Apple, Resene Highland and Resene Woodland for our eggs.
Step 3: Paint your papier mache eggs to go in thevase. We used the same colours for this –Resene Amulet, Resene Norway, Resene Spring Rain, Resene Soft Apple, Resene Highland and Resene Woodland– but you could change your palette to suit.
Step 4: Pop your branches in the vase and add decorative eggs into the vase, then add florals and hanging eggs. Place onan entry table or useas a centrepiece on your dining table.

Have a crate Easter!
These DIY Easter crates are a great idea for Easter morning with the kids. Give them their own personalised Easter crate to wake up to full of goodies. Paint it in their favourite colour for a nice surprise, or get them involved before the big day to decorate their own!
You will need:
1x small crate (ours is from Kmart 17cm wide and 10cm high)
Wooden bunny shape
Wooden letters
Clear craft glue
Paintbrush
Shredded paper
Resene testpots in Resene Soft Apple and Resene Amulet
Step 1:Take your mini crate and paint it in your chosen Resene colour. We painted ours in Resene Soft Apple. Apply two coats for best coverage.
Step 2:Paint your wooden bunny shape, or other decorative shape, and wooden letters in another of your chosen colours. We painted ours in Resene Amulet.
Step 3: Glue the painted wooden bunny shape and wooden letters to the crate.
Step 4:Pop in shredded paper and Easter eggs ready for a ‘hoppy’ morning of fun.

Chick it out!
This year when you give your family and friends some Easter treats add a cute chicken card too so you can write them a nice message to go along with it! You can useyour favourite Resene testpot colours, and paint any kind of character on yours – we chose a cute little chicken using Resene Turbo.
You will need:
1x A4 piece of card (folded in half)
1x A4 piece of card (for beak)
Googly eyes
Clear craft glue
Scissors
Fine paintbrush
Plastic fork
Resene testpots in your chosen colours. We used Resene Japonica and Resene Turbo, Resene Energy Yellow and Resene Black
Step 1:Dip your plastic fork into one of your chosen Resene testpots and create a round circleonto the folded card. We used Resene Turbo. This will be the chicken’s body.
Step 2: Once the first colour is dried repeat the first process with a second colour to add depth to the chicken’s body. We used Resene Energy Yellow for this step.
Step 3: Draw a beak shape onto cardboard, cut it out and paint it in your chosen Resene shade. We used Resene Japonica for our beak.
Step 4: Glue the painted beak and googly eyes onto the chicken.
Step 5: Paint on the chicken’s feet in another of your chosen testpot colours using a fine paintbrush. We used Resene Black for our feet.
Step 6: Write on the card and give to your family or friends along with a few treats.
